Making progress on pizza

My new pizza stone has finally had a run. Found a good use for the mezzaluna too - best pizza-chopper ever!

He he, two for one! I am quite intrigued by the fact that you are making pizza over a BBQ. I have never seen that before!

a beautiful thing, grilled pizza. While the stone will get a crispy crust, you can grill the dough directly on the grill as well.

Find that recipe you love though... It looks amazing

Jo - it gives a lovely crisp crust and a nice smoky flavour, like in a proper wood-fired pizza oven.

Dave - I am just sceptical about it falling through the bars of the grill! I know you can but I am scared to try.

We love grilled pizza & were worried it would fall through the grates too but no it works perfectly! Here's our little play by play of when we tried it http://agoodappetite.blogspot.com/2009/05/grilled-pizza.html

grilled pizza is great especially when you don't want your inside oven blasting at 500 degrees-f for an hour in August!

i found a cool stone that is made especially for the grill at amazon. good stuff!

Kat - I remembered that you did it but I STILL don't believe it!

Deb - it was awesome.

MrOrph - yup, this is a Weber pizza stone! Not one of the newer model that has a cutout though.

Looks beautiful. My mezzaluna has a double blade so can't use it as a pizza cutter unfortunately. Have fun making lots of pizza!
