Crispy chicken thighs II

A pack of chicken thigh fillets and yet more panko could steer me in only one direction: the crispy chicken thigh.

Tried something different though - with my grocery delivery I got 3 mini sachets of "Thai flavours" (chilli, lemongrass and coriander). So I added them to the buttermilk (I didn't have any yoghurt in) along with the garlic. Crumbed and baked and hey presto! I may never do them plain again. Although I don't think I will actually buy prepared minced coriander leaves when the fresh leaves have so much more flavour and aroma.

Oh dear foodycat. I would LOVE to make you a platter of cookies just to say thanks for being such a great foodie friend. Maybe someday when I win the LOTTO and can travel to London. Then you can make a plate of this delicious Crispy Chicken Thighs for me? :)

Hey, you have named all your thighs in the past -- don't leave me hanging! Are they Jude's, Paul's or someone else? ;-)

Kat - very yummy!

Esi - it's such a good weeknight dinner when you really can't think.

Teresa - if you come to London I will cook you something much more special than this!

Cranky - these are my thighs. Known to some as Ali's thighs...

What a wonderful idea for a way to really spruce-up some chicken. I'll have to try that sometime.

I would love to try this. Where do you get panko from? I've never seen it.

Thanks Meryl! That is a beautiful picture of you, by the way.

Sam - we get panko from Wing Yip, is there one near you?

Now that is a gourmet chicken nugget! I love it. I really like Panko too, I only rarely find it here. Looks like great fare to have with a beer... or three.

CitC - you have to get panko! It's the only crumb to use.

Natashya - you are so right! As a snackfood with a beer they would be brilliant. I'd cut them into smaller pieces for that though.
