Purely by accident I have ended up with two entries for this week's I Heart Cooking Clubs "Mystery Box Madness" challenge. The aim is to use any three ingredients from the box, in a dish by one of the IHCC featured cooks. This months box is: Potatoes, Buttermilk, Flour, Paprika, Onion, Leafy Greens (Any Kind), Lemon, Honey, Prawns/Shrimp, Feta. It just so happens that in Spring/Summer of 2013 Yotam Ottolenghi was the featured cook and those ingredients come up quite a lot in his dishes in Jerusalem, which I bought a couple of months ago.
So - his recipe for prawns, scallops and clams with tomato and feta features (spring) onions, lemon, prawns and feta. We had it as a main meal, with a chunk of nice bread to clean up the delicious juices.
And his chicken sofrito features paprika, lemon and onions - and potatoes which I didn't include because I served it with his delicious roast sweet potatoes and fresh figs.

A two for one!! They both sound fabulous.
Lovely! I haven't tried Yotam's recipes. They must be very nice. :)
You over-achiever you! ;-) Both dishes look delectable. Those big hunks of feta in the seafood dish have me drooling. Love Ottolenghi.
That seafood stew looks amazing.
Both dishes look mouth-watering! It has been sometime since I cook from Ottolenghi's book!
the seafood dish isn't for me, but the chicken sofrito is great! nice work. :)
Sweet potatoes are delicious most any way you cook them, your dish looks lovely.
Ottolenghi was one of my favorite chefs we cooked with at IHCC and I love that you went back to his recipes and cooked not one, but two! His chicken sofrito is one of my family's favorite meals. I bet I've made it 10 times! The shrimp dish with clams looks amazing. You have totally outdone yourself this week:)
Both your dishes look good. I love how you are versatile with the ingredients and the dish can be another dish as well. Cooking feta in stew is interesting, I've never tried it before. Now I know how good it looks. I will try this soon :)
Go you, Alicia - I'm well impressed that you did two dishes this week. Love the look of the prawns with the feta and clams - that is absolutely my kind of dish and reminds me a bit of the many plates of Prawns Saganaki that we devoured in the Greek islands.
The chicken sofrito is already in regular rotation here but I don't know how I missed the seafood-feta dish. It looks fantastic!
Joanne - you would LOVE the sweet potatoes and figs!
Joyce - he's great. Often quite complicated recipes but the results pay off.
Deb - anything that lets you eat big chunks of feta is OK by me!
Leaf - it is!
Joyce - I still have loads I want to cook from it.
Grace - the chicken dish is lovely!
Meredith - I totally agree about sweet potatoes!
Kim - thank you!
Grace - I think the feta in seafood braise/stew is pretty common in Greece.
Sue - Lucky you to have those memories! I am hoping to get to Greece one day!
Zosia - it's such a tasty one!
I think I should read and try more Ottolenghi recipes
