Key Lime Pie Redux

I got hold of proper key limes. I made the pie again. It was better, so much better.

  1. Key lime pie is my husbands favorite. I usually use Martha Stewarts version.. this sounds like lots less work with delicious results. Thanks for this recipe.

  2. Key Limes definitely have a distinct flavor. This pie is always on my "order list" if it is on a dessert menu. Great recipe... Thanks

  3. Donna - it's great isn't it? Very simple and just delicious.

George - I saw it on the menu today for the first time in the UK. Unfortunately I was way too full to eat dessert!

  4. This is my favorite pie. I have a place in Florida and we love to try the key lime when we find a new restaurant. Those key limes are very hard to find. I do confess to using the key lime juice in a bottle. Mea culpa.

  5. I had key lime pie once in Florida and just loved it. Sigh, we can't get the limes here.
    Looks great!

  8. Arlene - so lucky to be able to eat Key Lime Pie in Florida!

Natashya - it was the first time I had seen them here and they were quite expensive! But I had to know.

    Karine - thanks!

Laura - no hardship at all! It'll be a regular, I think.

  9. I still think the first one sounded fantastic. So long as you made the same nutty crust I bet it was wonderful.

  10. I ate my way through every key lime pie I could find on a trip to the Florida Keys once. I love it--one of my favorite pies ever.
