Key lime pie is my husbands favorite. I usually use Martha Stewarts version.. this sounds like lots less work with delicious results. Thanks for this recipe.
This is my favorite pie. I have a place in Florida and we love to try the key lime when we find a new restaurant. Those key limes are very hard to find. I do confess to using the key lime juice in a bottle. Mea culpa.
I love getting comments! I moderate comments, and I had to turn off the anonymous ones to weed out the spammers but most stuff is going to get through!

ReplyDeleteKey Limes definitely have a distinct flavor. This pie is always on my "order list" if it is on a dessert menu. Great recipe... Thanks
ReplyDeleteDonna - it's great isn't it? Very simple and just delicious.
ReplyDeleteGeorge - I saw it on the menu today for the first time in the UK. Unfortunately I was way too full to eat dessert!

ReplyDeleteI had key lime pie once in Florida and just loved it. Sigh, we can't get the limes here.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!
You have done a great job with this pie. It sounds delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh yum. Looks like it's definitely no hardship to have it twice!
ReplyDeleteArlene - so lucky to be able to eat Key Lime Pie in Florida!
ReplyDeleteNatashya - it was the first time I had seen them here and they were quite expensive! But I had to know.
Karine - thanks!
Laura - no hardship at all! It'll be a regular, I think.
I still think the first one sounded fantastic. So long as you made the same nutty crust I bet it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI ate my way through every key lime pie I could find on a trip to the Florida Keys once. I love it--one of my favorite pies ever.
ReplyDeleteTeresa - yes, coconut crust all the way!
ReplyDeleteDeb - lucky you!
